      Tour Description

Throughout history, humans have always adapted to survive using the technology available to them. In Cappadocia, people faced severe challenges, whether due to religious persecution or the harsh climate and rugged terrain. The region's inhabitants began carving out underground settlements, expanding them as needed to create safe havens. 

The valleys of Cappadocia also served as hidden refuges, where people-built chapels and churches in secret. This tour is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who want to explore both the natural and historical wonders of the area. 

Your adventure begins with your tour guide and driver meeting you at the hotel lobby at the scheduled time. The first stop is the stunning Red Valley, where you’ll embark on a 6 km one-way hike, taking about 2.5 hours. Along the way, you’ll pause at a cave café to enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice. 

 After the hike, you'll meet up with your driver and head to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch featuring regional cuisine. Following lunch, you’ll visit a carpet weaving cooperative, where you’ll learn about the art of Turkish rugs and kilims from an expert and watch a demonstration showcasing rugs from different parts of Türkiye. 

 The final stop of the tour is Kaymaklı Underground City, where you’ll delve into the fascinating subterranean world that once provided refuge and shelter to the people of Cappadocia. 

After your full-day tour experience your driver and guide will drive you back to your hotel.
