This tour is designed for travelers who want to discover more sights in Türkiye. It takes you to the UNESCO Heritage Sites in the western part of the country. Both Ephesus and Hierapolis with travertines are unique places in Türkiye. If you love history or natural beauty, explore these eye-catching places with an expert tour guide privately.
1-2 DAYS
First Day
Early in the morning, meet your driver at the hotel lobby to drive to the airport for your flight to Denizli-Çardak. Upon arrival, meet your driver and guide outside the gate to drive to Pamukkale. Explore the ancient site, including the Necropolis with a 20,000-seat Amphitheatre, the Frontinus Gate, and the Agora. This Roman site was built near thermal waters for healing purposes. The high calcium carbonate content creates interesting travertine shapes that naturally whiten the stones.
After exploring the ancient site, head to the Cotton Castle to walk on the travertines. If you wish, you can pay to enter Cleopatra Pool and refresh yourself in the healing water. Then, meet your driver again for lunch in downtown. After lunch, visit an outlet textile factory. Denizli and its surroundings have been famed for textiles and trade since ancient times. After shopping, drive to Kusadası and check into your hotel. Enjoy the hotel facilities.
Second Day
After breakfast, meet your driver and tour guide at the hotel lobby and drive to the Ephesus Ancient Site. It is one of the best-preserved ancient sites in Türkiye. Learn about the daily life of common people and nobles, the site's geography, and its history. Explore the theatre, the Celsus Library, the Curetes way, and the street monuments like The Temple of Hadrian.
After your visit, drive to a lunch spot and enjoy the region's mezes. Then, head to the Virgin Mary’s House, where you can light a candle or make a wish by tying a piece of fabric.
After your visit, drive to Adnan Menderes Airport in Izmir for your late afternoon flight back to Istanbul.
